Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a CA(SA) to drive financial performance, manage reporting and support strategic business decisions. The role includes preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reports, managing working capital, budgeting, BBBEE and tax submissions, and leading a small finance team.

Based in South Africa, the successful candidate will collaborate with holding companies and executives to deliver accurate financial information and robust controls.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) with 2+ years experience outside of Audit.
• Ability to manage a small team.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Compile and submit financial reporting packs to the holding company and group stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on working capital requirements and performance.
• Assist with the oversight of procurement and capital expenditure processes.
• Prepare divisional management accounts and reporting packs.
• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Compile monthly financial presentations for executive and group management.
• Prepare subsidiary reporting packs and supporting schedules.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles.
• Complete and submit BBBEE reporting requirements.
• Collate and submit Statistics South Africa returns.
• Review and release purchase orders and supplier payments.
• Assist with the year-end audit process and preparation of annual financial statements.
• Monitor and report on cash flow performance.
• Prepare working capital reports and analyses.
• Compile and report on operational statistics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review VAT reconciliations and submit VAT returns.
• Prepare and submit income tax returns and associated statutory submissions.
• Provide financial and reporting support to the Financial Manager and Finance Director.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
