Job summary

Execustaff is seeking a Buyer for their Pretoria East plant, with 3-5 years' experience in a production, manufacturing or engineering environment. The role focuses on purchasing quality, processing purchase orders, supplier negotiations, tracking orders, and maintaining inventory.

Responsibilities include selecting the right product mix, ordering consumables, monitoring outstanding orders, liaising with suppliers on delivery, supporting Finance with pricing and invoices, and updating supplier

Qualifications

• Matric and/or Diploma in Logistics or Purchasing required or advantageous.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Finance or supply chain knowledge beneficial.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP software (SYSPRO or equivalent).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers and track orders to maintain inventory.
• Assist with selecting the right product mix and ordering consumables.
• Monitor outstanding orders and liaise with suppliers on delivery timelines.
• Support Finance/Creditors with pricing and invoice queries; assist with credit applications.
• Capture orders and run SYSPRO reports; update supplier and intercompany contract pricing.

Purchase quality - process purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers, track orders, and assist with creating and maintaining an inventory.

Requirements

• Matric. Diploma in a relevant field (Logistics / Purchasing) will be an advantage
• Experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment preferable
• Finance / Supply Chain knowledge
• MS Office and SYSPRO or any other appropriate ERP software
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Team work - collaborate and build relationships between departments.

Duties Include
