Job summary

FROGG Recruitment is seeking a Buyer in Bellville for a manufacturing client in Cape Town. The role targets procurement and import logistics with salary negotiable up to R450 000.

You will determine buying requirements, build supplier partnerships, negotiate prices and lead times, coordinate with Production and QA on packaging, manage requisitions and stock, track shipments, and ensure ISO-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics ( CPS an added advantage )
• Experience in import logistics and international trade advantageous.
• Experience on SAGE X3 an added bonus
• Excellent excel experience
• 3 years plus experience in any manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Determine buying/procurement requirements across the organization.
• Establish supplier partnerships and negotiate favorable prices, volumes, and lead times.
• Work alongside Production and QA to develop packaging that boosts product appeal
• Handle requisitions and keep Production informed on order progress.
• Monitor stock levels and keep inventory records up to date.
• Organize goods transportation and track shipments for on time
• Keep process documentation accurate and audit-ready in line with ISO standards.
• Create and process orders for branches.
• Upload supplier documents and price lists to designated platforms.
• Carry out all sourcing in line with Procurement Guidelines and SOPs.
• Address and resolve discrepancies in invoicing, quantities, and pricing.
• Encourage ethical conduct across all stakeholder interactions.
