Job summary

Opensource Intelligent Solutions in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to turn complex business needs into practical technology solutions. You will analyse requirements, map As-Is and To-Be processes, and work with agile teams to deliver systems from concept to implementation.

The role is on-site in Parktown, offers a permanent contract and a salary of R650 000 to R850 000 per annum. Candidates should have 5+ years of BA/SA experience and formal BA training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business or Systems Analyst.
• Formal Business Analysis training.
• Experience on software and process re-engineering projects.
• Experience delivering projects within an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of software products and software development.
• Practical experience in software testing.
• Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder discussions.
• Strong process-mapping and requirements-documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into system and functional requirements.
• Identify opportunities to automate solutions and manual processes.
• Document As-Is and To-Be process flows.
• Create and maintain user stories within an Agile environment.
• Produce solution overviews and detailed implementation diagrams.
• Conduct and document gap analyses, impact assessments and feasibility studies.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and guide discussions towards clear decisions.
• Hand requirements over to internal and external development teams.
• Support software testing, quality assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
• Prepare test packs and project-related documentation.
• Support the implementation of new and enhanced systems.
• Train business users on processes and solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers and cross-functional teams.
• Obtain the necessary approvals and sign-offs throughout the project lifecycle.
