Job summary

Mining Client in Sandton, Johannesburg seeks an experienced Business Analyst to join the team. You will gather and document business and system requirements, engage with stakeholders, and map processes to identify gaps and opportunities.

You will analyse data, prepare reports, and collaborate with IT, users and external providers to implement solutions that deliver measurable efficiency gains. Remote options are not indicated.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders across different business functions to understand business needs.
• Analyse existing business processes, systems and workflows to identify gaps and inefficiencies.
• Develop process maps, workflows and business process documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and increased operational efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Assist with the design, enhancement and implementation of business systems and solutions.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
• Work with ERP and other business systems to identify system improvements and optimisation opportunities.
• Use SQL and database queries to extract, validate and analyse business data.
• Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect resolution.
• Coordinate with IT, business users, developers and external service providers where required.
• Support project planning, implementation and coordination of business and technology initiatives.
• Monitor implemented solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes.
