Job summary

AES Global is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support product development across its financial services domains. You will bridge business needs and technical delivery, unpacking complex systems, translating challenges into clear requirements and documenting solutions.

You’ll work with product owners and stakeholders to analyze processes, define rules, and support testing and backlog planning in a hybrid Cape Town setup (three days in office).

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in business analysis, product support or functional consulting in financial services or tech.
• Solid understanding of business-process analysis, requirements gathering and documentation best practice.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis and validation.

Responsibilities

• Create solution-design documents, user stories, wireframes and process flows.

We’re working with an established financial services business — a consumer lender operating across several African markets — and they’re looking for a detail-oriented, inquisitive Business Analyst to support product development across its domains.

Working closely with product owners and business stakeholders, you’ll bridge business needs and technical delivery — unpacking complex systems, translating challenges into clear requirements, and supporting execution with solid documentation, analysis and solution design. You’ll gain exposure to the full spectrum of the business — from credit and collections to client acquisition, onboarding and system integrations.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with product owners to gather and document business requirements through workshops, interviews and data analysis
• Create solution-design documents, user stories, wireframes and process flows
• Analyse current-state processes and help design future-state solutions that improve customer experience and efficiency
• Define and maintain business rules and configuration parameters across products and systems
• Align cross-functional teams (development, credit, data, operations) on scope and objectives
• Support testing and validation, and contribute to backlog grooming and sprint planning
• Maintain structured documentation (e.g. Confluence)

What you’ll bring

Working model
