Career Minded in Pretoria is seeking a highly organised Stock Controller & Procurement Coordinator to manage stock levels, conduct regular stocktakes and oversee procurement activities. The role is based mainly in Brooklyn with weekly travel to Hazelwood.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate inventory records, support purchasing processes and liaise with suppliers to manage pricing, orders and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control, inventory management, procurement or purchasing.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with stock management systems.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and supplier negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle due to travel between locations.
• Afrikaans fluency is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular stocktakes, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate availability.
• Manage stock ordering, replenishment and purchasing requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, quotations, orders and delivery schedules.
• Process and track purchase orders and verify deliveries.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock usage and identify opportunities to improve stock control and procurement efficiency.
• Prepare stock reports and assist with inventory planning.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure stock requirements are met.
