Placements24 is looking for a Telecoms Broadband Technician to join our field operations in Soweto. You will install, configure, and maintain broadband services at customer premises, troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and network issues, and educate customers on setup and basic troubleshooting.

The role requires hands-on field work, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation of service activities. A valid driver’s license and comfortable customer interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Broadband Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of DSL, Cable, Fiber and home networking.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, activate broadband services at premises.
• Diagnose and resolve internet, Wi‑Fi issues.
• Maintain and upgrade CPE and network drop points.
• Test network performance and signal strength.
• Educate customers on setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow safety protocols and document service calls.
