Job summary

VKB Group in South Africa is seeking a Branch Marketer to act as the second-in-command at a busy branch. You will oversee day-to-day operations, assist the Branch Manager with sales tracking and budgeting, and drive promotions to grow branch performance.

Ideally you have 2–3 years in agricultural retail, with stock control, plus 1–2 years in irrigation, hardware, and animal-feed sectors. Strong customer service and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric / NQF4; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• 2-3 years in agricultural retail with stock control experience.
• 1-2 years irrigation systems experience including pump sizing and layout design.
• 1-2 years hardware/construction industry experience with customer service and quotations.
• 2-3 years experience selling animal health products and veterinary medicines with AFCASA knowledge.
• 2-3 years experience in sale and storage of animal feed.
• Valid Code 08 driver's license.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to learn, grow, and occasionally work after hours.
• A natural people-person who thrives under pressure.

What We're Looking For

• Matric / NQF4
• A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• 2-3 years' experience in an agricultural retail environment, with strong experience in stock control, stock management, and minimizing stock losses
• 1-2 years' experience in irrigation systems, including pump sizing and selection, as well as irrigation and garden layout design
• 1-2 years' experience in the hardware and construction industry, including customer service and preparing quotations from building and construction plans
• 2-3 years' experience selling animal health products and veterinary medicines, with sound knowledge of AFCASA and similar products, including active ingredients, product applications, and usage recommendations
• 2-3 years' experience in the sale and storage of animal feed
• Valid Code 08 drivers' licence required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willingness to learn, grow, and occasionally work after hours
• A natural people-person who thrives under pressure
