Jobs4all is seeking a Branch Accountant to oversee the branch's accounting and financial activities, ensure IFRS-compliant reporting, and maintain strong financial controls. The role focuses on stock and parts distribution financial management and collaboration with the Finance Controller.

The incumbent will manage fixed assets, debtors and creditors, perform reconciliations, and support junior staff, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed in a fast-paced motor industry

Qualificações

• Matric.
• A Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or a Bachelor of Accounting Science.
• A minimum of five years' experience in the motor industry.
• Experience using the SAP accounting system.
• A Code 8 driver's licence.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Advantageous: Postgraduate degree in accounting.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage and control fixed assets, debtors and creditors.
• Perform payment and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve promptly.
• Reconcile stock records and oversee stock management.
• Monitor and control branch expenses.
• Prepare journals and oversee the general ledger and ensure timely recording of transactions.
• Review vehicle stock counts.
• Monitor financial aspects of parts distribution processes and suggest improvements.
• Oversee and control the branch's financial activities.
• Assist and guide junior staff as required.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Branch Accountant

Position: Branch Accountant

Reporting to: Finance Controller

Job Overview

The Branch Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the branch's accounting and financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining financial controls, and supporting the financial management of stock and parts distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Manage and control fixed assets, debtors and creditors.
• Perform payment and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure that these are resolved promptly.
• Reconcile stock records and oversee stock management.
• Monitor and control branch expenses.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly journals, oversee the general ledger, and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately within the required deadlines.
• Review vehicle stock counts.
• Monitor the financial aspects of parts distribution processes and proactively recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Oversee and control the branch's financial activities.
• Perform additional accounting duties and support junior staff members as required or assigned.
• Ensure that all financial policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric.
• A Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or a Bachelor of Accounting Science.
• A minimum of five years' experience in the motor industry.
• Experience using the SAP accounting system.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• A Code 8 driver's licence.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Advantageous qualification: A postgraduate degree in accounting.
