Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or Commis Chef in a high-quality restaurant or catering environment.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients and presentation techniques.
• Proficiency in food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP is a plus).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality food.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Culinary school qualifications or equivalent experience preferred.
• Passion for creating delicious and visually appealing cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards for assigned station.
• Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation across all dishes.
• Manage and maintain stock levels for your section, including ordering and receiving ingredients.
• Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu development and specials.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area and equipment.
• Monitor food quality and waste, implementing cost-control measures.
• Participate in inventory checks and stock takes.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere in the kitchen.
