Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a Bookkeeper to be based at our client in Brackenfell. The role covers financial accounting, GL management, payroll, VAT, and statutory SARS submissions.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, a solid grasp of Pastel and payroll software, and be fluent in English and Afrikaans. Work involves office-based duties with occasional admin tasks.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate in accounting is required.
• A tertiary qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of full-function bookkeeping experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and manage daily bank feeds.
• Perform daily reconciliations for all entities for real-time accuracy.
• Manage general ledger accounts, adjusting entries, and journals.
• Handle inter-company transfers and reconcile loan accounts between entities.
