Job summary

Benguela Cove Investments (Pty) Ltd is seeking a competent Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial administration for the BCI entity and support the Group Financial Controller with timely reporting.

Role involves processing invoices, cash reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and assisting with VAT and PAYE, in a multi-entity hospitality environment. Travel to Hermanus occasionally and high transaction volumes are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in bookkeeping or accounting.
• 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous; willingness to learn.
• Strong reconciliation skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience in hospitality or multi-entity environment is beneficial.
• Own transport required (occasional travel to Hermanus).

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing, approval tracking and supplier query resolution.
• Daily cash-ups, banking and cash reconciliations.
• Maintenance and reconciliation of control accounts (debtors, creditors, bank).
• Processing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Intercompany loan account reconciliations.
• Preparation of supporting schedules for monthly management accounts.
• Assisting with VAT and PAYE documentation.
• Liaison with wine estate operational teams on finance queries.
• Supporting the annual statutory audit.
