Job summary

Recruit for Africa PTY Limited is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper for its Cape Town venue. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, supplier accounts, inventory reporting, and ensure tight financial controls during startup and ongoing operations.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and GM, you will handle GL entries, reconciliations, and monthly reporting, with experience in Xero or Pastel and restaurant POS systems highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
• Prior experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent Excel skills with high numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, supplier invoices, delivery notes, and credit notes.
• Reconcile daily sales reports with POS, card terminals, cash drops and delivery platforms.
• Assist in stock take input, variance reporting, and track wastage and prime costs.
