Job summary

CK Talent Partners in Pretoria is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day transactions, VAT returns, and tax compliance. You will handle bank entries, supplier and customer invoices, and journal postings, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.

The role requires familiarity with Pastel Partner, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks, knowledge of the Companies Act and Income Tax Act, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Processing day-to-day transactions, bank entries, suppliers invoices and customer invoices as well as journal entries.
• Preparing the monthly/bi-monthly VAT returns and submitting thereof.
• Knowledge of Pastel Partner, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
• Good working knowledge of the Company Act and Income Tax Act.
• Knowledge of VAT and Employees tax and related items (COIDA/UIF).
• Knowledge of Easy File and SARS E-Filing.
• Candidate must come from an accounting practice background – Very Important.
• Candidate must be able to perform under pressure with the understanding of several deadlines.
• Completing and submitting of annual tax returns.
• Ensure compliance of clients with SARS legislation.
• Corresponding with SARS regarding tax matter.
