Oracle SA in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage accounting functions, prepare financial statements, handle SARS compliance and revenue controls. The role requires VAT, payroll and tax experience, with proficiency in Xero, Sage Online and CaseWare, and 2–3 years post-articles experience.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate records, statutory compliance and timely reporting for multiple clients, mainly in an office-based environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree with completed SAICA/SAIPA training contract.
• 2–3 years of post-articles experience preferred.
• Strong experience with VAT, payroll and tax submissions.
• Proficiency in accounting software: Xero, Sage Online, CaseWare.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge and IFRS/IFRS-related practices.
• Familiarity with Companies Act and Income Tax Act.

Responsabilités

• Process day-to-day accounting transactions, including bank entries and invoices.
• Prepare and submit monthly/bi-monthly VAT returns.
• Maintain VAT reconciliations between VAT returns and financial statements.
• Prepare payrolls for various clients and ensure PAYE compliance.
• Process payroll journals and submit PAYE returns to SARS.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform analytical reviews.
• Prepare monthly management accounts using Excel.
• Develop and maintain full-year financial forecasts.
• Draft annual financial statements using CaseWare.
