Job summary

Valterra Platinum is seeking a Boilermaker Plater for the Mototolo Concentrator in South Africa. The role involves maintaining, installing, and commissioning machinery to specified standards within the assigned area.

Required qualifications include Grade 10 or N2, Boilermaker trade certificate, and at least 3 years of experience. Candidates must be English literate and able to work standby/overtime, with a valid code 08 driver's license.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2 is required.
• Certified Competent as Boilermaker or Boilermaker Trade Certificate.
• 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Allocate tasks to subordinates
• Attend to breakdowns and emergencies
• Ensure materials, spares and equipment are available
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to subordinates
• Comply with environmental requirements
• Use judgment to replace components appropriately
• Maintain high quality of work
• Deliver timely and accurate information
• Record results of all legal examinations in the required format
• Prioritise work requirements in sequence
• Complete job cards and describe work and spares used (PMs)
• Perform work to required standards and specifications
• Apply appropriate tools to complete tasks
