Job summary

Skillnet Recruitment seeks an experienced Boilermaker for an on-site role in the North West. You will assemble and join sheets, plates, tubes, and steel sections, and perform heat treatment on engineering metals at a chrome ore beneficiation plant.

You must have a Trade Certificate - Boilermaker, Senior Certificate, and a valid Trade Certificate, with at least 5 years after trade, plus crushing, screening, and mining experience. Own transport and medical fitness are required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications with 5+ years in chrome ore beneficiation and ROM plant.
• Crushing, screening and conveyor belt experience essential.
• Own transport, medically fit and no criminal record required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and mechanically join sheets, plates, tubes, pipes, and steel sections.
• Perform heat treatment processes on engineering metals.
• Maintain belt conveyor components.
• Attend to call-outs regarding breakdowns and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure installations are built to standards and specifications.
• Maintain engineering equipment per schedules and standards.
• Repair equipment as required to meet standards.
• Contribute to a competent, positive, and motivated team environment.

• Assemble and mechanically join sheets, plates, tubes, pipes, and steel sections.
• Perform heat treatment processes on engineering metals.
• Maintain belt conveyor components.
• Attend to call-outs regarding breakdowns and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure that engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards and specifications.
• Maintain engineering equipment according to agreed standards and schedules.
• Repair engineering equipment when required, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Contribute to a competent, positive, and motivated team environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Trade Certificate - Boilermaker
• A Senior Certificate - Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid Trade Certificate
• Minimum 5 years experience after completion of Trade in a Chrome Ore beneficiation and ROM Plant
• Crushing, screening & conveyor belt experience
• Own reliable transport - not negotiable
• Medically fit & no criminal record
• Plant/Mining experience
