Job summary

AB InBev Africa is seeking a Boiler Operator to safely operate Coal & Biogas boilers and related equipment in the Eastern Cape. You will ensure quality and quantity targets are met on time according to the production plan.

Responsibilities include monitoring boiler performance, interpreting production plans, applying OHS procedures, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Collaboration with team members and continuous improvement are expected.

Qualifications

• Matric or Grade 12 technical skill required.
• Trade test would be an advantage to applicants.
• Computer literacy is required.
• 2 years general production experience in an FMCG environment preferred.
• Experience in utilities/ processing environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor boiler performance.
• Measure and monitor trends of performance attributes.
• Apply OHS procedures.
• Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping and risk-free standards.
• Optimise production performance.
• Operate plant and process equipment.
• Monitor processes; interpret production plan and maintain utilities operation.
• Report plant, machine and process problems.
• Conduct autonomous operator maintenance and operator breakdown maintenance tasks.
• Work in a team and communicate effectively in the workplace.
• Contribute to self and team development.
• Prepare boilers for government inspections and ensure safety standards are adhered to.
