Placements24 is seeking a Blockchain Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize our blockchain infrastructure. You will manage nodes, monitor security, and implement protocol upgrades, working closely with protocol developers and application engineers in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure management, or DevOps with a focus on blockchain technology.
• Experience operating and maintaining blockchain nodes (Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a distributed team.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus.

About the Role

Our client is building the infrastructure for the next generation of decentralized applications and requires a skilled Blockchain Platform Engineer. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of our client's blockchain infrastructure. This includes managing nodes, ensuring network stability, implementing upgrades, and enhancing the overall performance and security of the blockchain platform. You will work closely with protocol developers and application engineers to provide a robust and scalable foundation for innovation in the crypto and blockchain space. This is a remote position perfect for an experienced engineer seeking to make a significant impact on foundational blockchain technology, conceptually linked to East London , Eastern Cape.
