Placements24 is seeking a diligent Blockchain Network Administrator to manage and maintain blockchain infrastructure in a hybrid setup based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role combines on-site management of critical infrastructure with remote maintenance and support.

You will handle node operations, network monitoring, and troubleshooting, ensuring security and optimal performance while coordinating with development teams for new deployments.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration or system administration.
• Demonstrable experience with blockchain network administration (e.g., managing nodes, understanding consensus).
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux and Windows Server.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and associated software.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security, implementing proactive measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including node synchronization problems and transaction failures.
