About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Blockchain Network Administrator to manage and maintain their blockchain infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and integrity of their blockchain networks. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting blockchain nodes and related systems. This position is based in Midrand, Gauteng, ZA , offering a hybrid work model that combines the benefits of in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking, server administration, and the specific technical requirements of blockchain protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain nodes and network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, security, and availability, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to blockchain network operations.
• Manage user access and permissions for the blockchain network.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the network from threats.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades for blockchain software and operating systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications on the blockchain.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in blockchain technology and network administration best practices.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in network administration, systems administration, or related IT infrastructure roles.
• Experience working with blockchain networks (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, or other enterprise solutions).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and security principles.
• Proficiency in server administration (Linux/Windows) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cryptographic principles is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for our Midrand, Gauteng, ZA team in a hybrid setting.
