Job summary

Fruitways is seeking a Bin Stock Supervisor for our Molteno operation in the Grabouw area. You will lead a team in packing and stock control, ensuring accurate bin transactions and safe, efficient operations.

You will monitor Vitrax stock activity, allocate bin stock to production and cold stores, and enforce HACCP/BRC standards with a 15–20 person team. Overtime and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 2-3 years’ experience in packhouse or similar.
• Good communications and computer literacy (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Monitor accurate bin transactions on Vitrax in area of responsibility.
• Oversee the accurate allocation of bin stock in area of responsibility to production or RA/CA cold stores.
• Assign correct bin handling procedures for bin tipping, full bin consignments and pre-sorted work orders to employees.
• Supervise a team of 15-20 people and ensure the effective use of disciplinary procedures and/or counselling when needed, identify training needs and communicate all necessary information to employees.
• Ensure that all personnel adhere to safety procedures and policies and maintain HACCP and BRC standards

BIN STOCK SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Bin Stock Manager, the Bin Stock Supervisor will be based at our Molteno operation as part of our Packing Division in the Grabouw area. The ideal candidate needs to be a confident team leader who is focused on delivering high quality and detail orientated work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the accurate capturing of bin transactions on Vitrax stock system in area of responsibility.
• Oversee the accurate allocation of bin stock in area of responsibility to production or RA/CA cold stores.
• Assign correct bin handling procedures for bin tipping, full bin consignments and pre-sorted work orders to employees.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• 2-3 years’ experience, preferably in a packhouse or similar environment
• Good communications skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft Excel)
• Willing to work overtime and/or nightshift hours when required
• Vitrax experience would be highly advantageous
