Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Drafter with BIM expertise in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on translating concepts into precise BIM models and construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, collaborating with design and project teams on commercial and residential projects.

The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma in Architectural Technology or related field, strong BIM proficiency, and a meticulous approach to drafting standards and codes.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Experience as Architectural Drafter or BIM Modeler.
• Proficiency in BIM software, especially Autodesk Revit.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Experience on commercial and residential projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for architectural projects.
• Generate accurate 2D construction drawings from BIM models.
• Coordinate models with structural, MEP to resolve clashes.
• Prepare design documentation including presentations and permit drawings.
• Assist in preparation of specifications and material schedules.
• Conduct quality control checks on drawings and models.
• Ensure adherence to drafting standards and client requirements.
• Support project team with drafting tasks throughout project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers to review progress and revisions.
• Maintain organized digital files and project archives.
