Elchemie Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to own the tender process within the security services division in Gauteng Centurion. The role focuses on driving new business and retaining key contracts through compliant, high-quality proposals.

The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle, coordinate with Operations, Finance, HR, Legal and SHEQ, and ensure on-time submissions under deadline-driven conditions.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing is advantageous.
• 4–8+ years in bid management or tendering roles.
• Experience in security, facilities management or regulated services.
• Strong knowledge of tender processes and procurement standards.
• Experience with e-tendering platforms and online portals.
• Excellent written English and document compilation skills.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• South African citizen with clear criminal record; valid license and own vehicle.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Bid Manager to take full ownership of the tender process within their security services division. This is a critical role focused on driving new business and retaining key contracts through the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and commercially competitive proposals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, has strong stakeholder management skills, and possesses the ability to translate complex requirements into compelling, client-focused submissions.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage the full tender lifecycle from opportunity identification through to final submission
• Conduct Bid/No-Bid evaluations and coordinate internal approval processes
• Develop and manage bid plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time submissions
• Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, SHEQ) to gather inputs
• Facilitate bid meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders
• Draft, edit, and compile high-quality, tailored bid and tender documents
• Ensure all submissions meet strict compliance and procurement requirements
• Manage and monitor online tender portals and respond to clarifications
• Maintain and update bid libraries, compliance documentation, and company credentials
• Ensure consistent quality, formatting, and professional presentation of all submissions

What you’ll need

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or similar (advantageous)
• 4-8+ years' experience as a Bid Manager or in a similar tendering role
• Proven experience within the security, facilities management, or regulated services sector
• Strong knowledge of tender processes, compliance requirements, and procurement standards
• Experience working with e-tendering platforms and online portals
• Excellent written English and document compilation skills
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of security industry standards (PSIRA, PSSPF, ISO) advantageous
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal record
• Valid License & Own vehicle
