Job summary

Elchemie in Centurion is seeking a skilled Bid Manager to drive the full tender lifecycle from opportunity identification through to final submission.

You will coordinate with Operations, Finance, HR, Legal and other stakeholders, draft tailored documents, ensure compliance, and manage online tender portals.

The role requires 4–8+ years in tendering, a relevant qualification, and strong MS Office skills; SA citizenship and a clean record are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full tender lifecycle from opportunity identification through to final submission
• Conduct Bid/No-Bid evaluations and coordinate internal approval processes
• Develop and manage bid plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time submissions
• Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, SHEQ) to gather inputs
• Facilitate bid meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders
• Draft, edit, and compile high-quality, tailored bid and tender documents
• Ensure all submissions meet compliance and procurement requirements
• Manage and monitor online tender portals and respond to clarifications
• Maintain and update bid libraries, compliance documentation, and company credentials
• Ensure consistent quality, formatting, and professional presentation of all submissions

Education

Matric (Grade 12)

Tertiary qualification in Business/Marketing or similar

4–8+ years’ bid management/tendering experience

Experience in security, facilities management or regulated services

Strong knowledge of tender processes, compliance and procurement standards

Experience with e-tendering platforms and online portals

Excellent written English and document compilation skills

Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities

High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

South African citizenship

Clear criminal record

Valid driver's license and own vehicle

What you’ll need

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or similar (advantageous)
• 4 – 8+ years’ experience as a Bid Manager or in a similar tendering role
• Proven experience within the security, facilities management, or regulated services sector
• Strong knowledge of tender processes, compliance requirements, and procurement standards
• Experience working with e-tendering platforms and online portals
• Excellent written English and document compilation skills
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of security industry standards (PSIRA, PSSPF, ISO) advantageous
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal record
• Valid License & Own vehicle
