Placements24 in Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA, is seeking an experienced Energy Storage Systems Integrator to lead the technical integration, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and ensure seamless operation with the grid.

The ideal candidate has an electrical engineering degree, 4+ years in storage or complex electrical systems, hands-on BMS/inverter experience, and a hands-on, on-site work ethic with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in integration and commissioning of energy storage systems or complex electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with BMS, inverters, and control software.
• Strong understanding of grid-tied systems, power electronics, and renewable energy integration.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently on-site and manage project timelines effectively.
• Familiarity with safety protocols for high-voltage systems.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsabilités

• Lead the technical integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Perform site-specific commissioning and testing of BESS installations
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BESS hardware and software
• Ensure seamless integration of BESS with renewable energy sources and grid infrastructure
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics and test reports
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
• Provide technical support and training to field service teams
• Monitor BESS performance and identify opportunities for optimization
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in energy storage technologies and control systems
