Job summary

Humanrise Za (Pty) Ltd seeks an experienced Banqueting Head Waiter to lead service teams during conferences, events, functions and banquets at our property. You will ensure exceptional service delivery, coordinate banquet staff, maintain presentation standards, and assist in executing all events hosted at the hotel.

The role requires 2–3 years in a senior waiter or banqueting leadership capacity, with strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to manage flexible hours,

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years in a senior waiter, banqueting supervisor, or head waiter role in hotels/events.
• Strong banquet and event service operations knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate banquet service staff during events and functions.
• Ensure venues are set up according to event specifications and service standards.
• Conduct pre-event staff briefings and communicate requirements.
• Monitor event execution to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Liaise with Banqueting Manager, Kitchen, and other departments for seamless delivery.
• Oversee venue preparation, table settings, buffet setups, and breakdowns.
• Lead and motivate banquet staff; allocate duties and monitor performance.
