Placements24 seeks a Head Chef specialized in Banqueting and Events in Rustenburg, North West. Lead culinary operations for high-volume functions, craft menus, manage the kitchen team, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time service for prestigious events.

You will oversee food production for banquets, conferences, and special events, driving cost control and innovation while collaborating with sales and events teams to delight clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Recognized culinary qualification (diploma or certificate) required.
• Minimum 6 years in a senior kitchen role with banqueting/large-scale events.
• Experience in menu costing and inventory control.
• Proven leadership of a kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities under pressure.
• Creative cuisine with client liaison and event collaboration.
• Familiarity with North West catering landscape is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee culinary operations for banqueting and events.
• Develop menus for events considering client briefs and trends.
• Lead and train the banqueting kitchen team.
