Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Richards Bay is seeking a banking teller to manage daily cash operations including deposits, withdrawals, EFTs and internal transfers. You will verify slips and ensure end-of-day balances are accurate.

Duties include processing account closures, managing unpaid debit orders and fee reversals, conducting forex transactions, counting cash, detecting counterfeit notes, stamping and initialing slips, and maintaining zero teller differences.

• Verify deposit/withdrawal slips according to bank policies; ensure end-of-day balances.

Job description

• Manage cash deposits and withdrawals.
• Process EFT and internal transfers.
• Handle account closures and intersystem transfers.
• Manage unpaid debit orders and reversal of fees.
• Conduct forex transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Ensure end-of-day work processed balances.
• Verify and authorize deposit and withdrawal slips according to bank policies.
• Count and verify physical cash, identify counterfeit/stained banknotes.
• Stamp, date, and initial transaction slips.
• Maintain zero teller differences in surpluses and shortages.
