Job summary

Global Airways in Johannesburg is seeking a Safety Maintenance Specialist to strengthen our CAMO team, focusing on investigating maintenance-related safety occurrences and ensuring airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

You will lead root-cause investigations, assess risks, report to SACAA and stakeholders, and promote a Just Culture while collaborating with CAMO, Maintenance Planning, AMO and Safety teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness.
• Experience conducting safety occurrence investigations and reporting.
• Solid understanding of SA-CARS Parts and SA-CATS.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into maintenance and continuing-airworthiness safety occurrences.
• Assess maintenance-related hazards and recommend mitigations.
• Ensure timely safety reporting to SACAA, manufacturers and stakeholders.
• Analyse data to identify trends and monitor safety performance indicators.
• Collaborate with CAMO, Maintenance Planning, AMO and Safety teams to strengthen risk management.
