Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an aviation safety role.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation safety principles, risk management, and SMS frameworks.
• Experience in conducting safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Aviation Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate aviation safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and developing preventive measures.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization through training and communication initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation safety regulations and standards (e.g., SACAA requirements).
• Prepare safety reports, statistics, and recommendations for senior management.
• Maintain safety documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
