Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation-related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of aviation safety management experience.
• Knowledge of ICAO SMS and SACAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, operations, and procedures.
• Identify potential safety hazards and risks, conducting thorough risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
• Investigate aviation incidents and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and communication initiatives.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., SACAA) on safety-related matters.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of staff.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and provide regular reports to management.
