Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aviation Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA function in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in line with SACAA and EASA standards, lead auditors, and manage audits with regulators and customers.

You will drive CAPA, deliver QA training, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliant maintenance activities across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in aviation quality assurance with 5+ years in management.
• Deep knowledge of SACAA Part 145 and EASA Part 145.
• Proven track record implementing a comprehensive QMS.
• Certified Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 or aviation-specific).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS per SACAA/EASA standards.
• Lead QA department including auditors and inspectors.
• Plan and conduct internal audits of all operations.
• Manage external regulatory and customer audits.
• Oversee CAPA processes for non-conformities.
• Deliver QA training across staff levels.
• Monitor KPIs and report quality trends.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with data/regulatory requirements.
• Interface with regulators on quality matters.
• Foster continuous improvement and safety culture.
