Job summary

South African Airways (Pty) Ltd. seeks Aviation Technicians for the SAT - Mech (Technical Peak Season Pool) in Kempton Park.

The role covers servicing, inspection, repairs, overhaul, testing, and basic troubleshooting of aircraft engines, airframes, and components, in line with task cards and regulatory requirements. You will work under the HUB & SVM division, reporting to the Manager HUB & SVM, in a fixed term contract with multiple positions.

Qualifications

• A Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Aviation Apprenticeship and Trade Test.
• Current AME license holder.
• Must meet regulatory refresher requirements.
• Driver's license Code B is necessary.
• Proficient in AMOS and MS Office.
• Hold relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, inspections, repairs, overhauls and testing of aircraft components.
• Operate and maintain test equipment and ensure proper tooling is used.
• Inspect parts to regulatory requirements and take corrective actions.
• Plan and process parts and documentation.
• Follow work instructions and report progress to senior staff.
• Provide technical assistance and participate in meetings/training.
• Prepare and secure work area per manufacturers’ policies and safety rules.
• Return tooling and clean workspace after tasks.
