Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Quality Control Inspector for our Centurion-based client, a leading automotive manufacturer. You will conduct visual and functional inspections, document defects, and work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.

The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 is advantageous, and the ability to read technical drawings. A technical diploma is preferred, with strong teamwork to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and reporting.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments and basic QC tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and functional inspections of vehicles and components at various production stages.
• Verify compliance with quality standards, specifications and procedures.
• Identify and document defects, detailing the nature of the non-conformity.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to investigate root causes of issues.
• Implement corrective actions and follow up on effectiveness.
• Utilize measuring instruments and QC tools for precise assessments.
• Perform final quality checks prior to dispatch of vehicles.
• Maintain inspection records and generate quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations.
