Placements24 is recruiting a Quality Control Inspector for our Rustenburg-based client in the automotive components sector. The role focuses on ensuring parts meet stringent quality standards through visual and dimensional inspection, using precision instruments and documented quality records.

You will work closely with production and engineering to resolve issues, participate in audits, and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence in a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven QA/QC experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components and finished parts.
• Use calipers, micrometers and CMMs to verify conformance to specs.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records accurately.
• Identify non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001/IATF 16949 QMS procedures.
• Operate and maintain inspection equipment.
• Provide feedback on quality trends to production teams.
• Promote a culture of quality throughout the facility.
