Placements24 in Soweto is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanical Engineer to drive design, development, testing and validation of automotive components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and testing teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, has at least 3 years of automotive experience, and is proficient with 3D CAD
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- 3+ years of automotive industry experience.
- Proficiency with CATIA/SolidWorks and CAE tools.
- Knowledge of automotive systems (powertrains, chassis or body structures).
- Experience with vehicle testing procedures and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive mechanical components and sub-systems using CAD software.
- Perform simulations and analyses (FEA/CFD) to evaluate design performance.
- Conduct physical testing to validate designs against specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure quality and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective actions throughout product development.
- Support vehicle assembly and production teams with technical expertise.
