Job summary

Woolworths is seeking a Test Analyst – Automation in Cape Town to minimise software risk by combining functional test analysis with hands-on automation engineering. You will design, develop and maintain automated test solutions across web, mobile, API and integrated platforms, collaborating with delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires strong testing principles, hands-on automation with Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, and experience in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Proven experience in software test automation for web and mobile platforms.
Ability to translate requirements into risk-based test coverage and automation strategies.
Experience in CI/CD integration of automated tests and reliable execution.

Responsibilities

Understand business processes, solution architecture, interfaces and non-functional considerations.
Analyse requirements and designs to identify test conditions, risks and coverage.
Plan, design, coordinate and execute functional, exploratory, system integration, regression, API and mobile testing.
Define and implement automation approaches aligned with architecture and strategy.
Design, develop and maintain reusable automated test frameworks and scripts.
