Job summary

Danté Personnel Recruitment seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician for a leading manufacturing plant in Benoni, Gauteng. You will maintain and repair electrical systems on automated production lines, with emphasis on PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.

On-site role requiring strong diagnostic skills and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in automated industrial environments, can read schematics, and is prepared for overtime and standby duties in Benoni.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with Wireman’s License or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years as Industrial Electrician in automated environments.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Willingness to overtime/standby and Benoni commute.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in an industrial setting.
• Focus on automated machinery electricals: PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and control circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance to prevent failures and optimize performance.
• Diagnose faults using testing instruments (multimeters, scopes).
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and standards.
• Assist with installation/commissioning of new equipment and automation systems.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns with effective solutions.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams for smooth operations.
