Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Technician / Electrician (Programming) for a Rosslyn-based role in Pretoria. The position focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems while developing embedded software for automation projects.

The candidate will program Raspberry Pi or Arduino devices, work with PLCs, read schematics, and troubleshoot complex control systems. Red Seal and valid licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with Red Seal Trade Test.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi/Arduino and embedded programming.
• Strong fault-finding and PLC/automation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Wire, install and commission electrical control panels.
• Program and write code for Raspberry Pi/Arduino applications.
• Develop software for automation and machine control systems.
• Assist with PLC integration and industrial automation projects.
• Fault-find electrical, electronic and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Test, commission and document electrical installations.
