Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a hands-on PLC Technician to maintain and optimise production equipment at our Port Elizabeth plant. You will work with PLCs and robots, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure accurate closure of job cards to keep lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive, or IT, with 3+ years in manufacturing, plus hands-on PLC/robot programming experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical/Electronic Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on PLC and robot programming experience.
• Familiarity with ERP and MES systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across the factory floor.
• Diagnose faults and repair equipment; ensure each job card is closed properly.
• Work with PLCs and robots, conduct root cause analysis on recurring problems.
• Support production with electrical technical assistance as needed.
