Job summary

E&D Recruiters is seeking a skilled Control Systems Electrical Engineer for a Bloemfontein-based role. You will design, implement, and maintain electrical control systems that automate industrial processes, using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.

The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and ongoing system optimization. The engineer will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to enhance performance across varied projects, with strong focus on automation and modernization of plant

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience with industrial control systems and automation.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI development.
Understanding of instrumentation, sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Experience with SCADA systems and data acquisition.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

Design and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
Develop and implement control strategies for industrial processes and machinery.
Install, commission, and troubleshoot electrical control systems.
Integrate new control systems with existing plant infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes for control systems.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performance.
