Placements24 in Soweto is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, implement and maintain industrial control systems. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics to optimize production and troubleshoot complex issues.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, at least 4 years in industrial controls, and proficiency with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs. Join a team committed to innovation and hands-on skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial controls and automation engineering.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI software.
Experience with VFDs, servo motors, and robotics integration.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Design and program PLCs and HMIs for various industrial applications.
Develop and implement electrical control panel designs, ensuring safety and functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, identifying root causes of failures and solutions.
Install, commission, and test new automation equipment and systems.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production staff to integrate control systems into manufacturing processes.
Maintain documentation for control systems, including ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
