Job summary

Kontak Recruitment is seeking an External Sales Representative for the Automotive Aftermarket to grow the Johannesburg East territory (Germiston area) with a field-based approach. You will drive new dealership and fleet accounts, visit customers, and manage an existing portfolio.

The role offers a base of around R30 000 per month with quarterly commission, plus a company vehicle, cellphone, laptop and provident fund after probation. Extensive travel within the stated territory is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years external B2B sales experience.
• Proven new-business development, cold calling and face-to-face sales experience.
• Account management, upselling and cross-selling experience.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Willing to travel extensively within the territory and occasional country trips.
• Ability to work independently and manage a large sales territory.
• CRM experience would be advantageous.
• Automotive aftermarket, vehicle tracking, parts or accessories experience would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, negotiation, closing and administration skills.
• Professional presentation suitable for dealership environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop new dealership and fleet business.
• Cold-call, prospect and visit potential customers.
• Engage Dealer Principals, Sales Managers, Parts Managers and fleet owners.
• Conduct face-to-face product demonstrations.
• Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio.
• Plan daily visits, travel routes and customer call cycles.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up with clients.
• Record sales activity and pipeline progress on Pipedrive CRM.
• Submit weekly sales and pipeline reports.
• Attend relevant automotive and promotional events.
• Check in at the Germiston office daily and manage field activities independently.
