About the Role Our client, a large diversified conglomerate with significant operations in Soweto, Gauteng , is seeking a proactive and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join their established internal audit department. This role is pivotal in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across the organization. The successful candidate will lead audit engagements, manage a team of auditors, and collaborate with various business units to identify and mitigate risks. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned auditor to take on a leadership role and make a substantial impact on organizational integrity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on a thorough risk assessment.
• Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning to reporting, ensuring timely completion.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA is essential. Minimum of 6 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of auditing standards (e.g., IIA Standards), risk management frameworks, and corporate governance principles. Experience in conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits. Proficiency in data analysis tools and audit management software. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience in a conglomerate or diverse industry environment is advantageous. Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, balancing remote flexibility with on-site presence in Soweto.
