Placements24 is seeking an ambitious Audit Associate for a reputable mid-sized accounting firm in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role offers early-career professionals the chance to gain broad auditing experience across diverse clients, assisting in planning and executing financial statement audits, testing internal controls, and documenting work papers on site.

You should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, and be pursuing CA(SA), CTA, or ACCA.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Pursuing CA(SA), CTA, or ACCA.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or auditing.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and execution of financial statement audits for various clients.
• Perform audit procedures including internal controls testing and substantive testing.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence ensuring sufficiency and appropriateness.
• Prepare audit working papers documenting procedures and findings.
• Identify control weaknesses or misstatements and discuss with senior staff.
• Communicate with client personnel to gather information and resolve issues.
• Assist in preparation of audit reports and management letters.
• Stay current with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative audit environment.
• Manage time to meet deadlines and workload demands.
