Placements24 is seeking an Audit Associate to join the assurance team in Port Elizabeth. The role offers broad experience across industries, auditing financial records, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring compliance with ISAs. The position supports a hybrid work model balancing office and remote tasks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 1–3 years of external audit experience, and progress toward SAICA/CTA designation, with proficiency in audit software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CTA/SAICA trainee or similar designation in progress is acceptable.
• 1–3 years' external audit experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of auditing principles and financial reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial audits in accordance with ISAs.
• Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans for engagements.
• Examine financial statements, records, and internal controls for accuracy and effectiveness.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence, documenting findings clearly.
• Communicate audit progress and findings to audit managers and clients.
• Assist in preparing audit reports and management letters.
