Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Audit Manager for our client, a leading international audit and assurance firm, based in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role requires leading audit engagements, planning, executing, and supervising engagements while ensuring compliance with ISAs and firm standards.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, extensive external auditing experience, and the ability to mentor staff, manage client relationships, and deliver high-quality audit reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CA(SA) or ACCA qualification mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years external audit experience, with at least 3 in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff.
• Develop and execute audit plans in line with ISAs and firm policies.
• Assess client internal control systems and risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A professional qualification such as CA(SA) or ACCA is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in external audit, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Extensive knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and accounting principles.
• Proven experience in leading audit teams and managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Strong risk assessment and internal control evaluation skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
