Placements24 has partnered with a reputable firm of chartered accountants in Benoni to hire a Junior Auditor. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in financial auditing under the guidance of senior auditors.

You will assist in planning, fieldwork, and reporting, develop technical auditing skills, and learn to analyze financial statements while building a career in auditing. The role is office-based in Gauteng for motivated graduates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Auditing.
• Currently pursuing or completion of SAICA articles or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the auditing profession.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior auditors in planning and executing financial audits.
• Perform audit fieldwork, testing internal controls and substantiating assertions.
• Gather and analyze audit evidence, documenting findings per standards.
• Prepare working papers and draft audit reports.
• Communicate effectively with client personnel to obtain information.
• Identify potential issues and discuss with audit senior.
• Participate in inventory counts and client site assignments.
• Maintain knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Support the team in meeting deadlines and client expectations.
• Develop professional knowledge and skills through training.
